Temple, Exercise, and Boats

 Park Exercise

Today was another day of sightseeing and relaxing.  We met at 9:30 and headed to the Guangzhou Buddhist Temple.  This temple has been there for 2,200 years.  Again, it was very interesting seeing the locals do their thing...even though this isn't "our thing".  Then we headed to a different park.  This park was much different and basically made a circle around a lake.  There was a big area of exercise equipment where many retired people were exercising.  I always get a kick out of how fit these people are yet they smoke like crazy.  Although I do have to say I have not seen as many people smoking this time as we did last time.  The kids all enjoyed the exercise area and trying each thing.  Who needs a gym?  After that, we walked a litter further and all rented pedal boats to ride around in the lake.  This was fun but it was quite hot out today so we were ready to turn in our boats after 20 minutes.  After the boat ride we headed back to the hotel, grabbed some lunch, and the boys went swimming again.  Today was a very low key day which was okay because our next few days here will be busy ones.  We are all doing really well and time here is passing somewhat quickly.  Brayden is copying some English words we say and earlier I heard him say "what are you doing?" after I had said it.  He doesn't know what it means of course but at least he's trying to say some words.  6 days left here in China.  Missing all of you at home and look forward to our return.
